12th Man to relaunch The Deranged Ferret

12th Man to resurrect The Deranged Ferret

Imps fans of a certain age are bound to recall the Deranged Ferret from the day of fanzines. The 1980’s and 90’s were littered with these back street magazines popping up dedicated to humour and the love of their local club.

The Imps had the Deranged Ferret, originally started by Roger Bates in the late 1980’s. For 20 years on and off the Ferret circulated the terraces causing much discussion and laughter. The 12th Man are delighted to announce that DF (as it was affectionately known) is coming back.

The new Ferret will be packed with the usual stuff and some great new features. It’ll be conveniently released on PDF and emailed directly to subscribers four times a year. There will be the odd special as well, really bringing a classic feature of 90’s football into the modern era.

DF will be edited by former contributor and 12th Man member Gary Hutchinson, and over the coming days we’ll be inviting contributions from anybody on everything Lincoln City.

So how do you subscribe to this superb publication? It’s available exclusively to 12th Man members for the first year, all you have to do is join the 12th Man for £3 a year! All our current members receive the Deranged Ferret absolutely free! Other subscribers will receive a minimum of four issues for just £3.

To join the 12th Man all you need to do is this: go to The 12th Man blog and click on the donate via paypal button on the right hand side. Donate the total of £3 and include your name, address and email address. You’ll receive a welcome email from the 12th Man and DF confirming your subscription.

You can join the 12th Man on matchdays as well by seeing Julian Burley, Gary Hutchinson or Andy Helgeson and giving them £3 in person.

Keep an eye out on the 12th Man blog to find out when the exciting first issue is going to be released.

Together the 12th man and the wonderful fans can continue to raise some vital funding for the club, and hopefully have a few giggles on the way.
